LAUGH IT UP AT
YOUR LIBRARY

Iron River kids read hundreds of books this summer while participating in the “Laugh it up at Your Library” summer reading program.

For every 25 books read, the child was rewarded with Library Dollars and a free pizza meal at The Pizza Parlor. Library Dollars could be spent on a variety of prizes furnished by generous community donors. Many thanks to donors: Monica Brilla, John Plaster, Evie Berge, The Fig Leaf, Amy Nelson, Shirley Braunstein, and Deborah Dean. And special thanks to Michelle Rugas, proprietor of the Pizza Parlor, who furnished 61 free pizza meals (that’s 1525 books read) plus 8 pizzas with pitchers of root beer and lemonade for the End of Summer Pizza Party at the Library in August.

STORY HOUR

Jackie Skelton volunteered to co-ordinate pre-school story hour held on Saturday mornings at the library. Thanks to Jackie and her story-tellers.
