You can recycle gently used books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs by donating them to the Iron River Public Library.  Depending on their age, condition, and the current demand for them, donations will either be added to our collection or included in Friends of the Library book-sales, which help generate funds for the library. All donations to the Iron River Public Library are tax deductible, so please ask for a receipt upon bringing them to the service counter.  You may also make donations anonymously by placing them in the outdoor book-drop with a brief note indicating that they are a donation.  Please do NOT donate items with missing covers or water, dirt, or mold damage.  Additionally, we no longer accept VHS cassette, or record donations.

If you wish to make a monetary donation to the library please pick up a Friends of the Library Brochure for details.  Thank you to everyone who has donated material and made financial contributions to our library!

As a small library with considerable budget constraints, we greatly appreciate the help of our current volunteers, and look forward to working with others willing to donate their time and talents.  Volunteering not only benefits the library and community, but the volunteer as well.  It gives you the chance to meet interesting people, learn and use skills, and experience the satisfaction that comes from being of service.  We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, depending on your interests.  If you are interested in volunteering please call the Library Director at 715.372.5451.

Thank you to everyone who has and continues to donate their time, energy, and talents to helping our library better serve the community!

Friends of the Iron River Public Library

The Friends of the Evelyn Goldberg Briggs Memorial Library invite you to join us.  We are a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of library service in the Iron River area.  Friends of the Library provide financial and volunteer support of the library working as volunteer staff, sponsoring programs and events for all ages, and raising funds for library materials not provided in the regular library budget.  Meetings are held at the Iron River Library on the 3rd Monday of the month from April to October at 10:30 a.m.   We encourage you to join us.  This is your opportunity to express your ideas and make suggestions for library use and services . . .  and to make some great new Friends!
