Growing to Serve You!
Our library is expanding, and we need your help.
Do We Need to Grow?
Based on a 2013 comparison of peer libraries, the Iron River Public Library is serving significantly more people with less space and staff than most libraries of comparable size. Circulation levels are high and typical of larger libraries in larger communities. The library's expenses are low compared to libraries of comparable size. We get a lot of "bang for our buck," but we need to keep pace with the needs of the 21st century: more space for computers, books, and gathering areas.
Simply put, we need more room!

The Library's Board of Trustees seeks donors to help fund the
much-needed expansion of the library. With your help, we will double its size
by adding 2,100 square feet to the existing building,
offering a contemporary, dynamic service to all the communities we serve.
