historical resources. You can access more than 1.5
billion names in over 4,000 databases. This database
can be accessed only on-site at the Iron River
Library or other libraries that are part of the NWLS
service area. |

IRON
RIVER PIONEER 1894-1908 |
The Iron River
Pioneer
was the local newspaper of Iron River. The vital
records are indexed in Vital Records as published
in the Iron River Pioneer, 1894-1908. Those
indexes are available at the Iron River Library. The
Historical Museum next door to the library has
original copies of the newspaper and library staff
can often assist in securing copies of vital records
and articles for your personal use. |

Iron River City Cemetery |
For the benefit of
genealogists looking for family members who may have
lived in Iron River, here is an alphabetical list of
persons buried in the City Cemetery. Attempts are
made to keep the records up to date. Most dates of
death are not noted in the cemetery register, but
have been obtained from grave markers, stones and
burial permits. |

1870's for births, late 1800's for deaths and the mid-1800's
for marriages.

Great Lakes Visitor Center |
Census,
naturalization, and other records can be found at the
Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Their archival records represent collections from nine
